We are talking about labels that we put on ourselves or others have put on us. I know for me personally, I struggled for years thinking I would/could never be thin, or pretty enough, have a career – why? Many reasons, I didn’t have that reassurance from my parents growing up, nor from my husband, and through circumstances in my life, I have come to realize others have put a “pity” label over me – feeling so sorry for me due to some traumatic life happenings. I am seeing how those words have affected me – in a very unhealthy way. But I am aware now, and changing those words of death into LIFE!

Let’s find freedom from the bondages from what has held us captive for so long.
We are created in God’s image – we are HOLY- and RIGHTEOUS – FORGIVEN – CLEANSED and RENEWED!!! Even if you don’t FEEL “positive” words in your life, speak them ANYWAY until you accept the fact that you ARE beautiful, strong, smart, (or whatever you need reinforcement into believing for yourself!).
Imagine, like an artist (Lysa gave a fantastic analogy of Michael Angelo’s David sculpture, (you’ve GOT to get this book!), he chisels – and chops away at the parts not needed. Getting rid of the unnecessary parts – to make a new creation. The end result is a MASTERPIECE , a beautiful creation.
YOU are that masterpiece! You have greatness in you and God thinks SO much of you – you ARE so very important to Him , and to others! Never sell yourself short by using those negative labels. Cast them OFF and OUT of your mind! Dump those ugly words from your vocabulary! Let loose so you can live in the freedom that He has for you – free to live an abundant life, you will see that when you speak LIFE into yourself, it comes back to you like a boomerang!
Let the Master create a new and fresh attitude in you, full of grace and strength. As you are renewed, you are able to pass these benefits onto your daughters, granddaughters, nieces and others around you.
Let’s pray:
Abba, Daddy, we come to you, with free will today, as we want to lift up your Holy Name, and praise YOU for making each morning new and afresh to us. We love you and thank you for guiding us along life’s path.
We come before you and ask for help. Help to chisel off and get rid of loosen the chains that have bound us by the many labels we, or others have put upon us. We have carried those terms and words much to long. We release them, help us to let go, to bring awareness of anything we are still carrying that holds us back from the true freedom that you give. Thank you for new life – and for learning each day, how to speak LIFE into our own life as well as to others. Let our lives be a living testimony to the work YOU do in us every day, we are the beacon of light on a hill – wanting to share the wonderful life of Jesus and salavation. Let us stay joyful – even in the midst of any mindsets we may have, and that you will change those mindsets into freedom! Love you JESUS! Thank you for newness in life! AMEN!

I sure am having a hard time commenting!! Teeheehee!! My comment was on here twice so I tried to remove one and now everything is gone!! I just wanted to thank you for your beautiful words!! I am learning that I need to change my thinking, change my words, and bring LIFE!!! I appreciate you!!! : )
