Well, as we end our wonderful study of Unglued, by Lysa Terkeurst, I want to say: Lysa, well done, good and faithful servant! You have encouraged many, and challenged me, along with God’s confirming Spirit, to inspire towards make imperfect progress.
For this awakening in my spirit, mind and soul, thank you girlfriend! So, until we meet one day, here is my blog for the week, as I move forward, making imperfect progress!
When I rise up against the enemy and his tactics as he tries to “unstick” my glue, I am going to strive towards the truth, getting God’s perspective. He does, after all, lead me beside still waters that are refreshing, soothing and peaceful. So I will imagine myself by a sunny brook, just me and Jesus, as I compose my fleshly issues when issues arise from time to time.
After all, becoming unglued is an acknowledgement that change is needed FROM the frustration, hurt, sickness, stressors and pressures that happen in life. When these flaws surface, it is a chance for them to become beauty marks – when we anoint them with the ointment of Jesus, it is then, we allow ourselves – to become whole.
Extend grace in those moments when someone may need the love of Jesus to flow through to him or her, because we may be the only Jesus they come in contact with. I will let my light shine – and it stand out ever so brightly when humbled in those moments that could turn catastrophically unglued!
So thankful he loves to teach us, and is never finished with us! Remember, as Lysa said so very well: “God’s grace always allows second chances (Pg. 73)
One of my favorite songs: Holiness by Sonic Flood – I think this is a great one to end our study with, enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uor3TPX0of8&feature=related
Romans 12:14 (NLT) Bless those who persecute you. Don’t curse them; pray that God will bless them.
Colossians 3 (NLT) Living the New Life Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God’s right hand. Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth. For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God. And when Christ, who is your life, is revealed to the whole world, you will share in all his glory. So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual immorality, impurity, lust, and evil desires. Don’t be greedy, for a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world. Because of these sins, the anger of God is coming. You used to do these things when your life was still part of this world. But now is the time to get rid of anger, rage, malicious behavior, slander, and dirty language. Don’t lie to each other, for you have stripped off your old sinful nature and all its wicked deeds. Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like him. In this new life, it doesn’t matter if you are a Jew or a Gentile,….Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts. And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.

Let’s pray!
Lord thank you , that you give me your mind, conform me to your thought life. Let my moments of becoming unglued be less and less as time goes on. I strive for more of you and less of me. Your grace is so sufficient and I am so glad that I come freely, and without fear and ask you for help. Ease my mind when I have too much happening. Though the accuser will try to tempt me, I don’t have to fear because you’re Blood Jesus living through me. I can run into your arms, you offer me peace and understanding that will pass to those I come in contact with.
Thank you for the Proverbs 31 ladies, authors, volunteers that help teach us in such a exceptional way! Bless them Lord, I pray they have more than enough in every area of their lives. Ooze blessings over each of them today and the months ahead, so they are just so filled with you, more people will be drawn into the fold. I praise you Precious Lord, for ALL that you do for us.
Love you Jesus
