Today’s message from Daily Guidepost, is a great way to start the New Year.

A Time to Think

We will open the book. Its pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves. The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is New Year’s Day.
—Edith Lovejoy Pierce

A Time to Act

Don’t underestimate your power to change yourself.

Clarity (kl r -t ) n.

1. Clearness of appearance: the clarity of the mountain air.

2. Clearness of thought or style; lucidity: writes with clarity and perception.

God’s Word brings to us guidance and clarity.
I am planning this year with vision and goals. A clean page lies before me, with 1-1-2013 as the first entry.
One of the things learned last year, was the importance of writing out the goals. Setting limits. Not letting others set my boundaries, but knowing God has a plan and purpose, He is my guide and director, and no one else can dictate what my life should look like but Him.
This year, I will not be deterred, upset, put off, put down because others don’t like the place that I am at in life. Nothing in life is an accident. God knew before the foundation of the earth what I would be doing today, this very moment.

With that said, we must be careful not to judge others. What God has allowed for each of our lives, is not wasted time. It’s not bad, or necessarily good. But somehow we let our minds get tainted and confused, hurt or worse, by letting the views of other folks run our lives. Sometimes when someone is hurtful, it’s just that they don’t see the inside of what is happening. They incorrectly perceive what “they think” our life should look like. Or maybe they don’t understand the place and detail of all that you go through. (This could be in “good times, or in bad times”). I refer back to the word – CLARITY. Sometimes life gets gray. When it does, turn back, pray get refocused and let God direct or redirect the path. He gave us freedom from grayness. Clarity, like in the measure of a beautiful diamond, is not cloudy, nor cracked, not chipped or tainted. A good diamond is of good quality, precious and unique. When properly prepared, will sit perfectly in a setting made that fits  the person it was designed for.

Have you asked Him what your purpose for this year is? Now is the time to begin, with a clean slate. One step at a time. One day at a time. The start of twelve chapters for this year. Let’s begin!

Oh, Glorious Day! New beginnings! ♥ Because He loves us so! We will trust Him, in all things!  May the Lord  guide us along this path of new beginnings in 2013.

He loves YOU so much that he WILL show you what to do this year. Be still, and know He is God,(Psalm 46:10) your provider, and your sustenance. Trust Him. He will never ever let you down!
I don’t know about you, but this year, I am putting on my dancing shoes every day – and I am gonna celebrate life with clarity, and I am gonna DANCE! Praising Jesus with every step!

John 8:36 (ESV) So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

Let’s pray Dear Lord, thank You for giving us a fresh start – for a new year and for each day that we may begin anew.
Lead us this year – every day with clarity. Let our year start with goals and end with such purpose that we will absolutely rejoice at the end of this year that we will see your hand directing our paths, each in a unique way as it   it all comes together  !
In Jesus name, we pray, Amen!
