Did 2012 take a bite out of you? By year end, were you tired, exhausted, or sick? Did everything seem to be removed from your hands – not by your doing or choice, but circumstances out of your control?
As I was reading Isaiah 40 this morning, I was reminded yet again, of God’s power, his LIMITLESS and amazing power. He created it all, go to Genesis 1,http://niv.scripturetext.com/genesis/1.htm
Soak it in. There was void in all the earth. He created water, the sun, moon, stars…. and He has the stars numbered and named! Imagine that. The “gazillion” stars out there – and each is named. He created every animal, knowing they would each have a purpose. Just like you and I, we are uniquely designed with a plan for our life.
Going back to Isaiah 40, it says if you go to the mountain top, he is there. You don’t ever need to be afraid, He is with you! No matter where you are. In the field, on the mountaintop, his arms stretch wide and with power (v10), He carries you close to his heart as a shepherd to his flock. His ways are gentle and secure.
He measures the water (who can do such a thing??!! only our God, who knows the exact depth of the water – e.v.e.r.y.w.h.e.r.e.!!!!! Verse 12 says he measures the water in the hollow of his HAND!!!!!!! (that’s HUGE!). The verse continues to say that he holds the dust of the earth in a basket – hello!– THAT IS A LOT OF DUST!!!! It also says he can weigh the mountains on the scales and the hills in a balance!!!! Come on now. Take a pause here and imagine it! ……. Go there. God, our God — BIG God — The ONE who owns the cattle on the hill, yes Him! He WANTS you to live in peace. He desires for you to give your problems to him. Let him show you how to deal with every single thing. There is nothing that comes as a surprise to him. Give it up girls (and guys). Be purified today, just as he intended you to be.
Let 2013 be the New Year like none other. Set the slate clean. Free from clutter and issues. He will give you the answers and how to resolve all things, in a calm and effective way. This benefits not only you to be stress free, but also it helps show others a living proof of who He is. When we live in peace, that ministers to others too. Let his glory shine through your life.
Let’s take our deepest despair, disappointments, sickness and all other problems to Him, and proclaim out loud: Peace, be still! Matthew 8:23-27
God’s Word stands forever (Isaiah 40:8b) ….. So receive his blessings today, and every day!

It is by the blood of Jesus as he died on the Cross at Calvary, it is finished! Your sins are washed away! as long as we ask,and recieve this free blessing in our heart and life, and then follow up by making a commitment to know Him personally every day of your life. Seeking what the Bible says, in prayer and in fellowship with other believers, it is the growing and learning how to walk this Christian life out, in His freedom, one day at a time. Each person has his or her own unique design – just the way God made us. Never compare your life to someone else’s life. But strive towards the goal that God has for you.
