Thought of the day:
When you are being attacked by the naysayers of the world, or you are in the midst of a situation where people around you seem to all be straight from Mars, Jupitor and Saturn, before saying anything you might regret, (you may “think” it, but turn those thoughts captive,…. dont’ say it, tame the tongue, or you may have to apologize for jumping those conclusion hurdles! (oh trust me, I’m preachin to myself here as well!)… use your eyes to see the heart of the person, as God does.
It’s not your view point of someone that matters, since evaluating tends to run into judgement.
What you (we) NEED to do, is look at the heart, not the circumstances!
Circumstances are always temporary.
And God’s view point always outranks the human imagination and thought!!
We never know what God is doing in and through the life of a person. He turns the trial into a personal testimony. The messes of life, into a message, that will help others to push through and overcome!
1 Samuel 16:7 But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
Luke 18:10“Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. 11The Pharisee stood up and prayed abouta himself: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other men—robbers, evildoers, adulterers—or even like this tax collector. 12I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.’
13“But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner.’
14“I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”
Zacheriah 8:17 NIVDon’t scheme against each other. Stop your love of telling lies that you swear are the truth. I hate all these things, says the LORD.”
Let’s Pray: Lord, so many times I loose my mind (temporarily of course!), or I get impatient because of so much going on, that I forget that every living thing belongs to you. You created the sun, sky, horizon, wind, sand and rain. But most important to you is the heart of people. You seek and desire that everyone come to know you as Savior.
I pray for wisdom, patience, mercy and grace to give unto everyone I come in contact with. Someone I meet may be going through a rough season, and you may be placing me in that persons realm to help them, pray for and encourage them. So, with a humble heart, I ask for forgiveness for judging, or being impatient with others, I pray for a sweet spirit to always resignate in and through me at all times. Lead me to the people Lord that I can love when others don’t want to love them. In Your Holy and Precious Name, we pray ! Amen!
