This is one reason I love snow… it really does slow people down, to relax and try to enjoy (even in the midst of the shoveling etc); but we have NO power to stop the snow.
We DO have power to enjoy the BEAUTY and freshness that white snowflakes offer as they fall on the dreary ground.
Which leads me to the love of Jesus, and how he has washed our sinful red nature (and ALL of us are indeed hot red sinners), pure and white as the driven snow.
What power snow has – it reminds us that we need redemption.
We need cleansing of our spirits.
Don’t fight it. Relax, give in to the peace that is offered in the whole picture that the snow brings.
Next time the storms come, and we know they will, grab a cup of hot cocoa or coffee, open up the window curtains, sit down, relax and enjoy each unique snowflake that forms into a blanket of sparkling white bliss.
