The branches hold the snow like a softball. beaty at its best.
The branches hold the snow like a softball. Beauty at its best.

This is one reason I love snow… it really does slow people down, to relax and try to enjoy (even in the midst of the shoveling etc); but we have NO power to stop the snow.

We DO have power to enjoy the BEAUTY and freshness that white snowflakes offer as they fall on the dreary ground.

Which leads me to the love of Jesus, and how he has washed our sinful red nature (and ALL of us are indeed hot red sinners), pure and white as the driven snow.

What power snow has – it reminds us that we need redemption.

We need cleansing of our spirits.3183 Washed by the blood made white as snow

Don’t fight it. Relax, give in to the peace that is offered in the whole picture that the snow brings.

Next time the storms come, and we know they will, grab a cup of hot cocoa or coffee, open up the window curtains, sit down, relax and enjoy each unique snowflake that forms into a blanket of sparkling white bliss.

Jesus never lets me down, he stays with me and protects me everywhere I go! The evil one has no place in my life!

To receive Jesus into your life, and heart, it’s a simple  conversation… he IS your forever friend…. just say: “Jesus, I want to be your friend, I need you desperately,  come into my heart and live within me forever. I am sorry for the things I have done wrong in my life, I want to turn away from sinful desires, and live a life that is whole and pure. Help me to do this Jesus.”  Amen..

You are now a part of a whole new world. Read  the bible, it will help guide you through life. Find a bible  believing church that will help you grow strong in Christ.   When you find things in life “getting to you”, pray. Pray when life is good, pray when things are tough. He will guide you and show you how to live a victorious life!

So, today I write to ask you, do you love Jesus? Really love Him?
Is He the Center of your life? Every day? Or just when you are in a crisis? Or, maybe, he’s the center of it, if life is going well?
Have you ever ignored Jesus as he waited in the bleachers, to sit in the sidelines as you took the reigns in your life, without seeking Him first?

Which somehow then led, in the game of life, loosing track of where He is, and life got messy. (Much like in a game of football, as a player may look over to locate their family member in the bleachers, but everyone blends in like a tootsie pop – he/she is there rooting you on, but WHERE are they? You need that security, but all the “Tootsies” seem to look alike, but the game rushes on  – like life does – and you loose focus of your biggest coach and cheerleader).  Then life got amok.

Life, guaranteed, at some point, brings pain, sorrow, difficulties, the seemingly endless struggles, and issues, problems that now and again seem overwhelming. Those seasons that appears to have no end, a dry and barren place. But in the poverty (lack, inability, inhibitions) is the opportunity for God’s generosity to shine through.  Oh he knows each fallen piece of our lives. He meets us, his only condition, is to love him, praise him, and meet with him with a pure heart – not sometimes, but daily!  Go to him with empty hands – lift your hands up, as you raise your heart to His. Release the worry; break the cycle of trying and doing.

Focus on Him – omitting all the distractions that pull for your attention – for just a short period of time, it will lead you to the living waters that will refresh your spirit. He is the River of Life.  Pour into Him. Praise him, even when you don’t want to. Lift up His name in adoration, for he cares for you! Never, ever give up hope. Let his Light Shine over and in your soul. His compassion fails not. Opening your heart to His wonderful gift, He awaits to heal you, and answer your every need. God takes the trauma of life and reverses it, forgetting it to bring you newness and a refreshing fullness that only He can do.

Will you let Jesus on the field with you, to be the guiding defense AND offensive player in this game called life?
Praying to the Father:
Father thank you so much for your grace, love and patience with me. I come before you with a humbled heart, releasing every pain, hurt, injustice, along with doubts, fears and confusion (which I know are from the enemy) and lay them down at your feet. You are my Defender, my Coach, my Righteous One, who takes well care of all the details of my life. I find rest in you…. And not in the things or people in my life. You are my Joy, my Song, my Heart, I love you so much Jesus, and want you to go before me in every circumstance, I trust you wholly to take care of everything, because you promised you already did it at Calvary. I rejoice, as I sing and dance with freedom that comes from you. Give me rest and  wisdom  for each day, as I   thank you for my complete life, which  is just perfect as I lean into you to direct my path.

Here’s a great song, by the amazing Israel Houghton, take 6 minutes, meditate on His love for you.. call out to him and let him take over every part of you!

Scriptures:
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that just as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. Romans 6:4 KJV2000
Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.   1 Peter 5:7 NLT

But as for me, I am poor and needy; may the Lord think of me. You are my help and my deliverer; you are my God, do not delay.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead
1 Peter 1:3 NLT
Praise the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! He is the Father who is compassionate and the God who gives comfort. 1 Corinthians 1:13 GWT

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. 1 Corinthians 12:9-10 NIV

Never in my wildest imagination did I EVER think I would be in the trenches so deep, for so long – 6 years, and no idea when the breakthrough is breaking through. A trial that I know is a Joseph pit situation. You see this has been a test of endurance, I will run the race, and win (Hebrews 12:1). It’s been a faith building, life transforming – trusting in Jesus as he works out this testimony in my life situation. (Lamentations 3 is great summation!)

This began six years ago, ever so subtly, my kids were finishing high school, and in college….. finally (yes, I am one of the few mommies that was rejoicing to have a cleared up calendar voided of school and sports activities; not that I didn’t enjoy those days, it was just time to move ON. Act 3 completed; let’s move onto Act 4 of this theatrical event!), seeking after my hearts desire with full vigor, with all sustenance, to serve God’s mission for my life. I knew my calling was somehow intertwined with helping people, as I knew he was preparing me to encourage women and kids to live their fullest God given life. Something dear to my heart, after spending too much of my own life unsure, insecure and in lack, as a kid, with minimal “parental” support in validation and encouragement, his hand was on my life even back then. Living in an unchurched, cussing, impatient, overcrowded home, and expected to be mature beyond my age, I entered into adult life which dealt to me two still born, full term babies, my husband died in an accident,  and SO much more drama-rama throughout this past six years! But yet it has been through the various trials in which I found the strength and freedom that Christ offers. And it’s time for me to pay it forward. As I grow in Christ, the challenges get more intense. (ah, we know that’s bound to happen don’t we?! James 1:2-3). It’s been most interesting to go through this valley. Alone. Rejected. But God – with me through it all. An interesting comment I heard just the other day from TD Jakes, that when we feel forsaken, everyone has left, it is then, that God allows this alone place, which seems so far from civilization, to almost a scary place of depression, forsook and secluded, but it is then we are molded and mended because it’s only me and God. That is exactly the place I have been visiting the past three years. God with me.

Trials come and they go, but hold on tight to Jesus, he is always with me, and holds me with his right hand – Those times when we go through a trial, test, difficult time, it seems nearly impossible to think there will be a day that will shine and I can move forward with the confidence I know that is within me. This “opportunity” has allowed me to even the more realize how His love never changes; he is faithful even when life is uncertain! And the blessings will overcome me when I’m out of the pit!
As my mind flutters like a butterfly, overwhelmed at times with the “what Lord”, why Lord, where, when, and who”, I know I can settle on the Masters shoulder and I can walk with him and he will give me peace.
Last week the Holy Spirit gave me a word picture analogy. Our trials are nothing more than scabs (don’t know about you, but I find those scabs annoying, just sayin!). But when we allow the ointment – that is Jesus – to heal us as we walk through the fiery furnaces in life, we become whole. He IS the ointment to heal our wounds, our hurts, and our heart That my friend is mercy. He oozes his ointment of anointing blood over us, in us and through us – if we allow him to do so.

I will testify of His GOODNESS, you see, his MERCY endures FOREVER and ever!

I will soar with wings of eagles (Is. 40:28-31). With these wings, I will float through this test – leaning on His everlasting arms, which carry me. Because on the other side of this life’s “struggle”, is a bouquet of bright, shining, beautiful flowers, that will be a sparkling banner that states: “Well done – good and faithful servant, you passed the test, as you stood on firm foundation, the Rock of your Salvation”!
Jesus is his name. And because of Him, I have already overcome, by the Blood of the Lamb, and the word of my testimony! (Rev. 12:11)
Did you read that? It’s already done. Though it seems I am STILL stuck in the pit, I have already OVERCOME! It is by HIS stripes, HIS blood, and the FAITH that I TAKE to speak to the mountain and tell it to be ye removed
I consider it all joy to have gone through this pit stop; it’s been a time of renewal, deepening my patience, (James 1:2-3), and yes, my endurance is stronger than it’s ever been. For he is not finished with me yet; He has big plans for me, as He does for you too my sweet friend.

It’s time to exhale…..

Oh Jesus, how I love you !!! You are my heart, soul and my salvation, I serve you with all my being, now and forevermore. Amen…..

Relax….

The peacefulness of Jesus’ wonderful love brings contentment, like nothing else.

Having sweet communion (not the communion of grape juice – I’m talking about the fellowship type of communion that brings on a close relational friendship), brings joy… unspeakable joy – that deep down kinda joy that rises up within your soul.

I’ve learned that taking time in Jesus, with Jesus, and through Him,  talking to him about every aspect of my life, my concerns… the fun times, the sad times and everything in between, is exactly what He longs for from me (and you)!

Stop and think about it, when you don’t spend time with those closest to you – what happens? There becomes a void. An emptiness that needs to be restored. It’s the same with Jesus, our intercessor before our Father God; the one who cares so incredibly for us. Oh, as each season  of my life goes by, I understand this very fact, more and more!

 John 15:13-15 (NLT)
13 There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. 14 You are my friends if you do what I command. 15 I no longer call you slaves, because a master doesn’t confide in his slaves. Now you are my friends, since I have told you everything the Father told me.

He brings more hope, more fulfillment, more of all the things we need. Tis SO sweet to trust in Jesus! Taking everything to him in conversation! Laying down our heart, mind and soul to Him, baring it all – and as these concerns are released,   he then fills  up our soul- he builds with strength!

Romans 15:13 (AMP)
13 May the God of your hope so fill you with all joy and peace in believing [through the experience of your faith] that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound and be overflowing (bubbling over) with hope.

I’m thinking of David – as he faced Goliath, lil young David, confident David – taking down that giant. Everyone laughed, poo pooed him. But one good sling shot with the rock – whoop – it was OVER! THAT’s the kind of building up  only God can do in our life! We have the same power within us – as we lay down our burdens and concerns to Him. (1 Samuel 17)

He longs to hear from you today… will you go to him – releasing all your fears, worries and burdens? Don’t forget to praise Him for the GOOD things he’s doing and done for you. You know how it feels to be lifted up  – should we treat Him any differently? Oh, praise Him! Release it all to Him! He is faithful to fill you up – brimming to overflowing joy  and peace!

John 15:13-15 (NLT)

13 There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. 14 You are my friends if you do what I command. 15 I no longer call you slaves, because a master doesn’t confide in his slaves. Now you are my friends, since I have told
you everything the Father told me.

Psalm 33:20-21
Our soul waits for the Lord; He is our help and our shield. For our heart shall rejoice in Him, Because we have trusted in His holy name. Let Your mercy, O Lord, be upon us, Just as we hope in You.

He builds up our hope within us, as we hope in Him;
Continue to Hope – Dream – Build  and  Seek !
He put those desires in you for GOOD –
